Rome One on One & Small Group Tours

Steve and Grazia's Bio

Steve, originally from Detroit, traveled to Rome for the first time in the summer of 2003 and after having been so moved by the many sights and delights of the Eternal City, decided to follow his heart by moving to Rome in order to live and experience "La Dolce Vita"- The Sweet Life. The transition to his new life was seamless and exciting. He set out to read any and every book about Rome that he could get his hands on, and, thanks to an almost obsessive desire to discover every nook and cranny of the historic center of the city, has become quite knowledgeable and adept at giving tours of Rome that are fun, informative and evocative.

Steve met his wife, Grazia, in the picturesque hills surrounding Rome in 2004. Grazia is originally from the northern region of Italy called Liguria and she grew up in La Spezia, a port town just south of the breathtaking Cinque Terre. Grazia is well traveled having lived in both London and Paris before falling victim, like her husband, to Rome's many charms and infinite beauty. Thanks to her contagious smile, warm and friendly personality, not to mention her fluency in both English and French, she compliments Steve's tours by assisting with accommodation as well as airport transport in Rome and throughout Italy.

Steve's intimate knowledge of the city's monuments and history, along with his earnest desire to impart his passion for Rome with others, allow his tour groups to experience a unique tour while taking-in some of the hidden gems of the city that most tourists seldom see. Grazia's many connections throughout the tourism industry, including contacts within the Vatican itself, provide you with the exclusive opportunity of fulfilling unforeseen last-minute requests making her expertise indispensable. Together this interesting and dynamic couple will help make your experience of the Eternal City a truly joyous and memorable one.

A Journey shared is truly a Journey remembered

The Roma and Cinque Terre photographic workshops trips were a great success. Both groups came home with some wonderful images and some wonderful memories. I will soon be posting some of the new images on the website and hope that you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed taking them. Many thanks to my two wonderful friends Steve and Grazia who helped make the Rome workshop very special.
